The word longsuffering means patience. Our Lord is very patience and there is a reason why. Its because He wants us to amend our
ways so He can have His full way in our lives.
There are many instances from scripture where we can see the longsuffering of the Lord. Lets look at this two scriptures:
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
1 Peter 3:19-21 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer,” Jesus said concerning the church (Matthew 21:13). He was quoting from
the Book of Isaiah where this was written. But how often do we hear people refer to the house of God as the house of prayer? Not very often.
